HOOVER VACUUM CLEANERS
- Hoover vacuum cleaners got started in 1908 when William Hoover bought a patent for the "Electric Suction Sweeper" from James Spangler, an asthma sufferer who had invented the concept just the year before. By 1912 they were already being sold in more than 5 countries. By 1926 they had perfected their "beater bar", their metal rotating brush roll and dirt agitator. 1932 saw their machines with headlights and by 1936 they introduced their self propelling machines. Hoover continues their innovation to the present day where they sell quality machines worldwide.
